It’s an interesting post that brings up a few good points. Remember back in the past? We were supposed to be flying about in space-ships by now–and instead of working all the hours in the day we were supposed to be living for fun and eating small pills that were just as tasty as a proper meal–
Only it didn’t work out like that. Not even close. In fact, the people who made those predictions were some way off the mark…
Nowadays we still work as much (or more, as the case may be) as we ever have. It doesn’t look like hover-boards are around the corner either. Which is a shame, because in Back To The Future they looked fun to say the least–
All that said, I doubt everyone is fully aware of how much robots are involved in our day to day lives. Take the motor industry for example: most of our cars are now assembled by robots which have taken the place of many men. So maybe we’re not that far away from the future after all–
It’s a frightening thought actually, and that’s just what we are aware of. With the advances in technology that are being made daily, who knows what the future has in store for us? With a bit of luck there might still be a place for us in it…but then again…it would be nice if robots could do all the boring work and let us have our fun…
